Welcome to KCDN

This is KCDN, an Environmental Management, Economic Empowerment and Poverty Eradication Civil Society.

We welcome you to our site. Kindly feel free to share with us your thoughts. Ideas that add value will be appreciated. Ideas that want to make us improve our physical environment will be welcome. And more so, ideas that redirect us from the lost cause will be of immense value.

It is us who will improve the lot of our Environment, our Economy and make Kenya a Clean Country, where People join hands to work for our own Economic Emancipation and where Municipal Solid Waste Management is looked at as a resource, not as waste.

We need to set the standards in this region of the World and become the referral point in how a people can join hands and work for their own Economic Liberation, where waste can be used as raw material and become a source of employment for our people.

Our collective actions will surely make a difference. This is why in partnership with our Key Strategic Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department, the National Environment Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, other key Ministries, the Local Authorities in Kenya, the Provincial Administration, A Better World, Akiba Uhaki Foundation and other Partners, we are moving deliberately in sensitizing and mobilizing Kenyans to work towards A Clean Kenya where waste is separated at source.

And this is why we are inviting Kenyans to join with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and be a Member of Kimisho Sacco Society Ltd

Welcome.

Prayers for Peace at Redeemed Gospel Church

Friends,
As we roll out Kenyans for a Clean General Elections on the 5th January 2013 at the Redeemed Gospel Church in Huruma Estate, today we attended a Church Service at the Redeemed Gospel Church in Huruma. Together with me from The Clean Kenya Campaign was Mr. Edgar Wycliffe Onyango and we were joined by Mr. Kennedy Osutwa- the Deputy Registration Officer- IEBC Mathare Constituency.
The sermons were great and well delivered by Pst John Kitonga, Pst James Miriego and an even more powerful delivery from the Senior Pastor Josephine Kitonga who called upon Kenyans to campaign peacefully then vote peacefully for whomsoever they prefer.
Senior Pastor Josephine Kitonga giving us the final blessings after inviting the faithful to join with us on the 5th Jan 2013 as we launch Kenyans for a Clean General Elections Campaign. L-R; Pst James Miriego, the Police Chaplain from Nyeri Kiganjo, Rev Mutiso, Pst John Kitongo, Senior Pst Josephine Kitonga, Oto and Past Frederick Muvengei in Church today
She noted that we can only have one President, one Governor, one Senator, one Member of Parliament, one Women County Representative and one Country Ward Representative at a time. We must hence vet all those who have offered themselves to be our political leaders and then vote wisely as One People under God.
She then invited me to explain to the Congregation about the Kenyans for a Clean General Election, which I did. I invited the faithful, wherever they are across Kenya, to all join in and be our Ambassadors for Peaceful Campaigns across Kenya and a Peaceful and Clean General Election to boot. This must not be left to the Church and IEBC alone. It must concern all of us that any single life lost, is that of a Kenyan.
When I was given the opportunity, I want to believe I made some very good use of it and invited Kenyans to own the Kenyans for a Clean General Election and also join with us on 5th Jan 2013 as we launch

It must concern us that any single property lost is that of a Kenyan, and it must concern all of us that any one person displaced is a Kenyan.
We must hence campaign and vote in a manner that shows that truly we are 50 years old and that we are One People under God.
We then invited the faithfuls to join with us on the 5th January 2013 at 7.00am as we join in removing the garbage along Juja Road around the Church and later at 9.30am, as we officially launch Kenyans for a Clean General Election Campaign at a Forum in the Church Compound.
We at The Clean Kenya Campaign are equally happy that similar calls have come from none other than our own President- Hon Mwai Kibaki, who had this to say today; 'We must therefore carefully reflect on the leadership of this country as well as the management of our destiny as a nation. To equip ourselves for the journey ahead, we must think smart and plan carefully. We must implement programmes as scheduled and we must also work very hard'.
These are very inspiring words and we at The Clean Kenya Campaign want to invite our brothers and sisters in Mathare to pause for a moment of reflection and countenance if the kind of violence in their midst is really necessary.
The Church was really packed and all were excited at us working for a Clean and Peaceful General Election
Why must brother kill brother? Why must we defecate upon our sovereign as a people? We need to advocate peace and goodwill to all mankind as we strive to build a better Kenya, one that will meet our aspirations as we celebrate our silver jubilee on 1st June 2013.
This is a great Transformation taking place in our times and it is our sovereign duty as a people to safe guard our Independence and jealously be proud that we are Kenyans. Let the world know this.
Let us all work for a Clean Kenya, a Clean Africa and a Clean General Election as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.

It is our desire that all the 14.3 Million Kenyans who registered as voters come out and vote for their preferred candidates on the 4th March 2013 in a peaceful manner, and wait for the results a happy lot.

It is with this in mind that we are inviting the IEBC Chair Mr. Issack Hassan, his Team at the Commission, the PC Nairobi Mr. Njoroge Ndirangu and his Team at the Provincial Administration, the Town Clerk at the City Council of Nairobi Mr. Patrick Tom Odongo and his Team at the Council, the Media and all Friends of Kenya, people who believe that we can all work for a Clean General Election, to join with us at the Redeemed Gospel Church at 7.00am as we launch the Kenyans for a Clean General Election Campaign.
We will start by having a General Clean-up along Juja Road at 7.00am, just next to the Church, then recede to the Church Hall at 9.00am for the Official Launch of the Campaign.
All Political Leaders from across the political divide in the greater Starehe Constituency have been invited. I have personally reached out to the TNA and CORD Secretariats to notify their Members.
We want to work for a Clean Kenya as One Family under God. And this is in line with our second and third Pillars at The Clean Kenya Campaign; Peace Building and Good Governance.

A Meeting with Dr Oburu Odinga

Friends,
We are now heading for the Christmas Season and we at The Clean Kenya Campaign would like to wish all our Friends, Kenyans and all People of Goodwill a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
It will also be the time when our Political Leaders will be burning the midnight oil crafting winning formulas towards leadership of Kenya.
Dr Oburu Odinga and Oto this morning
As a People, we must also make honest reflections during these Festive Seasons and make very clear choices. We need Transformative Leadership that will strengthen the gains we have made under the stewardship of His Excellency President Mwai Kibaki and the Rt Hon Prime Minister Raila Odinga in their Coalition Government.
The period of Registration of Voters is over and done with now. We must now start focusing on Voter Education such that come 4th March 2013, a critical mass of the Registered Voters will be trooping to the ballots to make their democratic choice on leadership based on Chapter 6 of our Constitution on Integrity and Leadership. Let us join with the TCKC and our Friends in Kura Kwa Furaha Campaign across all Kenya.
Let us politic peacefully as One People under God.
Let us all work for a Clean Kenya, a Clean Africa and a Clean General Election as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.

TCKC presents her Report to AYT

Friends,
After mobilizing for a very successful Massive Clean-up cum Voter Registration Campaign in Nairobi on the 14th December 2012, we have compiled our Report and made a presentation of the same to our benefactors The Africa Youth Trust.
I was at hand to present Mr. Nahum Okwiya- the Executive Director of the Africa Youth Trust with the Report early this afternoon. We will present the same Report to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the Provincial Administration, the City Council of Nairobi, and Inuka Kenya.
Mr. Nahum Okwiya receiving the Massive Clean-up cum Voter Registration Report from Odhiambo T Oketch
We have shared the Report with our Key Partners the Public Service Transformation department at the Office of the Prime Minister, Akiba Uhaki Foundation, A Better World/SOF-DI, the Permanent Secretary Ministries of Local Government, Environment and Mineral Resources and the Nairobi Metropolitan Development.
We are hoping that we will mount a Massive Voter Education Exercise on the 5th January 2013, and all are invited to support, partner and participate with us in this Great Transformation taking place in Kenya under our watch.
Lastly, my morning was spoiled when some idle fellows removed my right side mirror. It is such an embracing situation when you park your car only to come back and find that you have no side mirror, wheel cap or valuables from your car.
Look at what these guys did to my car- Bure Kabisa
The City Council of Nairobi must up their game and make Nairobi a Safe and Friendly City for All.
Merry Christmas Folks and let us meet next Year- God willing.
Let us all work for a Clean Kenya, a Clean Africa and a Clean General Election as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.
