Letter to the Rt Hon Raila Odinga- Prime Minister of Kenya

Prime Minister,
Republic of Kenya.
Dear Sir,
I want to start by congratulating you for remaining steadfast for the ideals that you have stood for and cherished all your life. It was great seeing you come out strongly to challenge the electoral process where elections seems to be always won at the tallying level and in the Board Rooms.
It basically beats all logic for an Electoral Body to invite Kenyans to come out and vote for their leaders and then, fail to respect the same wishes of those voters.
I was at Radio Ramogi this morning between 8.00am and 9.00am and we were looking at the lessons learnt so far. And I want to state at the outset that I firmly support your democratic right to challenge the results as announced by the IEBC Chair on Saturday the 9th March 2013. 
In my small capacity and within the confines of my tallying centre in my house, I was able to record and realize the inconsistencies with the results as announced. I must assume that being a candidate, you and your team members are privy to many more such inconsistencies and the best arbiter is the Courts of Law.
You have done many Kenyans proud by choosing to seek legal redress and I am convinced that our Judges will stand firm on the right side of history. 
With all this said, I want to address a few issues that might be very painful to the men and women around you. You have been the epitome of democratic reforms and agitation in Kenya. In the company of the great Jaramogi Oginga Odinga, the late Masinde Muliro, Hon Charles Rubia, Hon Kenneth Matiba, the late Martin Shikuku, Hon Prof Peter Anyang' Nyong'o, Hon Gitobu Imanyara, Hon Kiraitu Muringi, Hon Paul Muite and all those celebrated sons and daughters of Kenya, you fought for The Second Liberation.
You were detained for 9 years fighting for justice and democracy for Kenya. You are truly the architect of The Second Liberation as sang by the late Musa Juma. When we won the repeal of section 2A of the then Constitution, a late comer to the liberation struggle in the name of Hon Mwai Emilio Kibaki ended with the big prize. He had only belatedly joined in the Second Liberation.
He beat all the Liberation Heroes to the tape and to the State Office.
He then attempted to saddle us with a watered down Constitution in 2005, and again, you were at hand to deliver and help Kenya. In the Elections of 2007, against all odds, Mzee Kibaki was pronounced the President and sworn in at night to the State Office. Kenyans were not amused and all hell broke loose. The rest has been history.
However, you had a negotiated settlement where you became the Prime Minister with half of the Government. I still vividly remember the then US Secretary of State Dr Condoliza Rice saying that there must be REAL power sharing. 
I honestly did not know how real power sharing only translated to appointing 22 Ministers and their Assistants! Real power sharing meant taking half of Government. You may have been let down by your immediate handlers and advisers- the same team that never saw your votes going in 2007.
In 2010, you helped to deliver a New Constitution and with it, we now have a reformed Judiciary. We have an Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission- though doubts are now emerging at how Independent the Commission is. We have a reforming Police Force and some semblance of order is slowly creeping in.
Kenyans want order and Kenyans came out in large numbers to cast their votes. We were all resigned to either having you as our President or Uhuru Kenyatta. The rest were simply in queue. It was hence shocking when Kenyans were once more confronted by the ghosts of the defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya at tallying point at Bomas of Kenya.
Remember, you were robbed of victory the same way in 2007 at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre. What lessons did you learn then and what measures did you and your team put in place to avoid similar situations ever happening again?
I bet your top team slept on the job as Kenyans voted for you. We must ask heard questions even as we seek justice and restoration or a Re-run. You were let down by your immediate team members- people who were fighting for election contracts instead of election victory.
Again, how come your team members were campaigning for Round 2? Did they imagine that Round 2 could even not be there? I have never seen people campaigning to be number 2 in my life. Elections are won by number 1s all over the world.
Then, the Team assumed some misplaced sense of self importance to an extent that they never answered their phones, they never called back and they never even responded to email and sms. The only person who did engage with the public and even responded to his calls and sms was Hon Prof Anyang' Nyong'o.
Many people who voted for you are annoyed beyond words. We are being consoled to seek Justice but the truth of the matter lies somewhere else. We did our duty and voted for you. Your Strategic Team members failed to guard and protect your votes and now, they want to gag us as we point these mistakes! Your Team made mistakes and even as we walk firmly in solidarity with you, we must tell them as much.
I would like to be told of what strategic importance was having Hon Otieno Kajwang as Minister for ID Cards and Hon James Orengo as Minsiter for Land? The duo failed in their respective portfolios and because they never listened to any wise counsel, let the counsel of public opinion deal with them.
Lastly, if the Strategic Team around Raila failed to see your votes going in 2007, and again in 2013, how sure are we that they will do a good job in 60 days if the Courts grants them their wish.
The time of reckoning is here and now with us. You must not go far to look for people who failed your campaign. They are all around you- kikulacho ki nguoni mwako.
But if a re-run is so ordered, we must all take up our formation and campaign for you as Kenyans without regard to your Strategic Team Members.
All the best as you confront Dr Willy Mutunga at our reformed Judiciary. I will be penning him my thoughts tomorrow.

Letter to IEBC Chairman Isaack Hassan

Mr. Isaack Hassan,

Chairman- Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission,

Republic of Kenya.

Dear Sir,

I must start by congratulating you most sincerely for presiding over the most complex and the largest ever elections in the history of Kenya.

From the outset, we must appreciate that the Commission is supposed to be Independent and to this extent, I want to believe that there were no intimidating forces exerting pressure on you and your Team.

The violence that Kenya witnessed in 2008 were largely due to errors of omission on the side of the then Electoral Commission of Kenya led by the late Samuel Kivuitu- God rest his soul in peace. Kenyans voted in their thousands peacefully just like we did on the 4th March 2013, and the Commission bangled our hopes and aspirations as a people.

I voted at Komarock Primary School on the D-Day and I made several observations which I want to share with you, because, what I saw made me think that you were not prepared for this exercise.

The lines in the school were long and apparently, the IEBC staffers did not know which line led to where. They were of no significant help to the people. I had to line up in three different ques before I decided to find out for myself where the letter T was. Then to my chagrin, I found that several alphabets were split. Like the letter S was split into two. This was very confusing and I want to believe that it was not intentional.

The second issue I would want to ask, what became of the voter education? Did the IEBC really invest in voter education, and did the IEBC truly train their clerks to help the Team manage the Elections in an organized and professional manner? And how come we invested Kshs 9billion on gadgets that were designed to fail?

What about the Black Books that seemed not to have the same data with the BVR kits? Then, what happened to the tallying process? This was the simplest thing to do and yet, it seems to be the point where elections are either won or lost in Kenya.

It was amazing that Kenyans came out in their large numbers to elect their next CEO. What was difficult in capturing this data as honestly as they were cast. I am talking about this because after Kenyans had voted, we started seeing provisional results that reflected a huge number of votes being rejected. In fact, it became a public joke that the Rejected Votes were the Third Force in the Elections.

When your team realized this, you came out to tell the public that the high number of rejected votes was due to some bug that was multiplying the entered results by 8. Could this bug also have been able to alter results in favour of any of the Presidential Candidates? I am asking you this because when you started releasing the official results, I was tracking all those results on Excel and at all times, my tallied results which were based on what your Commissioners were reading to us never tallied with what you were posting online.

I found out that there were great anomalies on the posted results with one candidates results going up even with as much as 200,000 votes against the declared results while the other candidates figures went down below what your Commissioners had read. In fact, when your team announced the last batch of 15 Constituencies at around midnight on Friday, I was convinced that no candidate was going to get 50% plus 1. And the country was resigned to going for a Run-off. 

When I went to bed at 1.30am, I was sure of a run off because the 5 Constituencies that were outstanding could not significantly alter the posted results, and your Commissioner even told us to go to bed because the remaining 5 Results were to be announced at 6am when we were all fresh!

Now, I slept for only one hour since I was traveling to Bondo for a funeral and I wanted to leave Nairobi at 4am. I was shocked seeing my TV telling me that we now had a new President! Why did your Commissioner lie to the Nation?

Like Garbage collection, these are weighty issues Sir and we as a Nation must come around and be honest with each other and help clean the mess. Elections must be won in the ballot and not at tallying level and in the Board Rooms.

Your conduct of this process, right from preparations to the elections day to the way you managed the tallying process for so many days to the last minute deceit has placed a heavy yoke on your shoulders. It will permanently make you be part of the history that will define how Kenyans loose elections at the Board Room and not during the balloting process.

Shame on the IEBC Team for throwing the confidence that Kenyans and the whole World had on you. We all know that even Jesus Christ was betrayed by Judas Iscariot on account of 30 pieces of silver. I do not want to believe that this could have been true for us in the year of our Lord 2013.

May the good Lord give you the Grace and Humility to struggle with where you have placed yourself in the history of humanity.

Letter to HE President-Elect Uhuru Kenyatta

Your Excellency Hon Uhuru Kenyatta,
President-Elect of the Republic of Kenya.
I want to officially congratulate you and the Jubilee Team for convincingly winning the just concluded General Elections. There were anomalies yes, but you won and won big and even if a Re-run is ordered by the Supreme Court, I know you will still win, and now even with a bigger margin.
When Kenyans were invited to register as voters, you and your Team Members went to work, and you registered what the maverick Mutahi Nginyi later called 'The Tyrany of Numbers'. Your supporters came out in large numbers and we could see evidence of that. 

Then, you mounted a very well organized campaign across Kenya. You beat your opponents by back-pedelling them to the wall all the times. You were on top of the propaganda war- fare and you won big on that. I liked how you and your Team Members would lit a fire at some point then run very first shouting fire fire as you fetched water to put it out.
That was brilliant and that is what politics is all about.

You talked about the Rt Hon Raila Odinga almost 80% times in your campaigns, preferring not to call him by name. You called him huyo mjamaa wa vitendawili and that resonated out so well with your supporters. But then, you kept pointing out to the people that it was the Cord Team that was talking about people and not you. Honestly, I never heard what you said you wanted to do for Kenya. Again, that was brilliant.
On the D-day, your supporters came out in their droves to vote for you. The Cord supporters were as lethargic as they have always been. This must be a lesson to all Kenyans. When the IEBC invites us to come out and register as voters, we must do so if we want our voices to be heard, or, if we want to form the Government.
Governments are not formed without numbers, for that is the essence of democracy all over the world. Losers never form Governments.
Your opponents did not invest in mass mobilization either for registration, nor for voting. I cannot hence help but weep with them at this time as they mourn. But then, we are Kenyans and we have moved on and many are now accepting that indeed, you will be our President.
Your Excellency, as our next CEO, you have some huge responsibility on your shoulders. First, you and your Principal Assistant- the Enigmatic William Ruto must attend the ICC cases in person. Please prove to the world that you are all innocent and let the world be ashamed.
But in the event that you are convicted, kindly step aside as fast as you can. We will stand strong with you now that you are our President.
Again, move with speed to construct the Mau Summit- Kericho nightmare of a road that we have had for this long. Move with speed to remove the hyacinth that has clogged Lake Victoria for all this long. You may be the Joshua that is taking us to Canaan.
Develop for the people around the Lake Victoria Fish Processing Plants for their fish produce. Move with speed to incorporate the people who did not vote for you in your Government, and make Kisumu- especially Kondele be your first public engagement as the President of Kenya after you are sworn in. Host your first political thank you rally in Kisumu, then move to other regions as well.

Your predecessors talked of preaching Peace across all Kenya immediately they signed the National Accord on the 28th February 2008, but we did not see them do that even once in the 5 Years we have lived with them. Kindly make Peace and National Reconciliation a priority number one.

I loved it when you invited Kenyans to go back to their work during your acceptance speech on Saturday the 9th March 2013. You did not order for 2 days of National Celebrations. That was good.
Your Excellency, our Towns have been dirty, in fact, very dirty. Garbage and Waste has been competing with all available space as the out going teams watch. Prove to the whole world that Garbage and Waste is huge business. Initiate the process of Separation of Waste at Source as a mandatory household undertaking and make the 3rd Saturday of every Month a National Clean-up Day. 

We cannot live like this. A Clean neighbourhood is a sure reflection of our intellectual infrastructure

Strengthen our democratic space and make it possible for any Kenyan to be President- not based on The Tyranny of Tribal Arithmetic, but on clear Policy and Manifesto. Invite all Kenyans to love each other and more so, invite your core supporters to be ready to vote for non of their own.

Move with speed to solve the land question and issue all persons who have come of age with Identity Cards. The out going teams failed on this.

We still have along way to go with you. This is just the beginning of the several letters you will be getting from us. You are now our President and we will be complimenting each good move you make. But we will equally be very hard on you when you make a wrong move.

May the good Lord give you the Grace and Humility to serve Kenyans with love, dedication and results.

We have made great strides as a People

Friends,
We fought in 2008, burned each other, killed our neighbours, uprooted our own people from their homes and destroyed our own property.
Today, as we wait for the Presidential Address at 4.00pm this afternoon and as we wait to vote on the 4th March 2013, I want to look at the strides we have made as a people since then.
The World responded to our situation when all seemed lost. Many world leaders invited us to keep peace and Mr. Kofi Annan was mandated to bring the two protagonists together. He was joined by a Team of Eminent Persons His Excellency Benjamin Mkapa and Her Excellency Madam Graca Machel.
In their shuttle diplomacy, a Team comprising of Kenyans was put in place to tackle issues that needed serious intervention. From the ODM side we had Hon Sally Kosgey, Hon Musalia Mudavadi, Hon James Orengo and Hon William Ruto.
From the PNU side we had Hon Martha Karua, Hon Mutula Kilonzo, Hon Moses Wetangula and Hon Sam Ongeri. These Kenyans identified the short term, mid term and long term interventions and out of it, Constitutional Offices were created.
The Electoral Commission of Kenya was disbanded and in came the current team- the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. Of course we had the Hon Andrew Ligale led Boundaries Commission that went around the Country delimiting new Electoral Boundaries as they exist now. We have faith that Chairman Isaack Hassan and his Team at the IEBC are credible people and they are going to preside over a credible process and give us credible results.
We now have Constitutional Offices that are helping us move forward. And most of them have done well. I am happy that the hitherto moribund National Cohesion and Integration Commission has bubbled into life, The only dead Commission we now have is the rudderless Truth, Justice and Reconciliation Commission. They still do not know even why they came into existence.
Our Judiciary under Dr Willy Mutunga has been refreshing and inspiring. They have become no-nonsense and the good thing is, these men and women have made up their mind that their first love is the Constitution followed by Kenya. They have closed their minds to other issues. And we are praying for them.
There is great effort within the Police Force and as it is, Kenyans are happy that the Police are starting to respect the Law, not individuals. We are hoping that they will remain impartial and help deliver a credible election. We are also praying for the new Inspector General Mr. David Kimaiyo and his Team.
The Transition Authority under Mr. Kinuthia Wamwangi is hands on and I am happy with their approach to duty. It is important to note that Mr. Wamwangi was my Committee Member when I chaired the City Council of Nairobi Stakeholders Evaluation Team. My current Chair at The Clean Kenya Campaign Mr. Elijah Agevi was also my Committee Member then and he has also moved to be a member of the Ministerial Task force on Devolution.
We are giving our best for our Motherland and we are happy about this.
Then the biggest stride we have made is to give ourselves a New Constitution. It is on record that Hon William Ruto, the Jubilee Deputy Presidential contender opposed this document vehemently and we are asking aloud, how will he implement what he had opposed? But these are the irony, acrobatics and lip service that come with political leadership in Kenya. We all know Ruto would kill Devolution if given any small power.
On the development front, we have seen alot take place during the life time of the Coalition Government. Roads have been built across Kenya, University Education has been expanded- never mind about the quality of education and instruction, and many more have been accomplished. On the whole, we have done well in the last 5 years and we must clap for ourselves. 
I am hence convinced that no one will want to disrupt the tempo that we have set as a Country and as a People. If any such person exists in our midst, then, ashindwe. It is hence only fitting that we come out in large numbers to support the core team that have been in the frontline of all these achivements.
With Mzee Kibaki heading home, he is leaving us in the safe hands of Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Kenyans.

CHF International and Partners doing great

Dear Friends,
The CHF International, PeaceNet Kenya and Kituo Cha Sheria today invited a team of CSOs from Mathare, Kiambio, Kibera and Korokocho for last minute preparations for the General Elections in a series of meetings and trainings at the CHF International offices in Nairobi.
The first Team was that of Election Observers and they were taken through the Code of Conduct and Instructions on what their role will be come the 4th March 2013. We were ably taken through this by Gilbert from PeaceNet Kenya, Susan from Kituo Cha Sheria under the watchful presence of John of CHF International. Ms Selline Korir- the Director CHF International Kenya Tuna Uwezo was at hand to give the last remarks during the morning session.
I was invited to observe and share my thoughts with the CSO Leaders.
I was impressed with the state of preparedness from the Team and further, it was refreshing to hear that the TNA Candidate for Parliament in Mathare Constituency Mr. GM Wanjohi and the ODM Candidate for Parliament in Mathare Constituency Mr. Steve Kariuki and their campaign Teams met in Mathare Area 3C the other day at 6.00pm and they came down from their caravans, greeted each other and hugged.
That was a sure sign of maturity and it went a long way to calm the nerves of the residents of Mathare 3C. How I wished there was a Camera around to capture this great moment from our politicians.

As we engage in last minute Peace Building efforts, we are inviting Kenyans to remain firm. This is our Country and we can either make or break her. We must learn from the TNA and ODM Leaders in Mathare that this is only a contest and not a conflict.
We at The Clean Kenya Campaign and all our Partners who have been with us in the trenches and in the front line at Peace Building know the mood of Kenyans. Kenyans want a Clean and Peaceful General Elections.
We are all going to do our part as Kenyans and we are now calling on the IEBC to also stand tall and be counted. The last General Election was botched by sloppy and inept handling from the defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya. This led to the team being disbanded in a most dis-graceful manner and they have for ever lived in shame.
The current Team led by the ever green Isaack Hassan and Maj James Oswago, must lift the spirit of Kenyans up. The lives and property of Kenyans lie on how you are going to handle the Elections of 4th March 2013. You may choose to stand tall and be counted as great Kenyans, or, you may fiddle and end up the way the defunct outfit went.
The die is cast and Kenya and the World is watching you.

Let us all work for a Clean Kenya, a Clean Africa and a Clean General Election as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.

Presidential Debates; Kenya moving in the right direction

Dear Friends,
Kenya has made great strides in the last couple of days.
We have hosted 2 Presidential Debates and we have hosted several Peace Initiatives culminating with the massive Peace Rally at Uhuru Park organized by Pst David Owuor on the 24th Feb 2013. Besides, many are in the trenches preaching Peace for the love of Kenya. And one thing is becoming very clear; Kenyans want a Clean and Peaceful Elections.
The one word that is gaining prominence is Peace. And we at The Clean Kenya Campaign are happy that we have been part of the Peace Campaign across Kenya. We have been invited for Talk Shows on TV and on the FM Stations and we have also been literally on the trenches. We are happy that the many Kenyans we talk with are happy that we are all Kenyans and come 4th March 2013, we will all vote as One Family under God.

We have also been excited by the Presidential Debates and I was impressed by the levels of discussions in yesterdays debate save for one incident when Ms Martha Karua denied the obvious. All Kenyans know that the root cause of the Post Elections Violence of 2008 was the ineptness of the defunct Electoral Commission of Kenya. May the good Lord rest the soul of Mr. Samuel Kiviutu who passed on this morning. He was the Chairman of that body.
Ms Karua knows like all of us that the Commission was handpicked without due consultations as was by law required. Yet, she had the audacity to look at us straight in the eye and tell us that there were no political parties in Parliament to consult at that time.
We cannot afford to have such kind of leaders who lie to you as they look at you straight in the eye. It reduces the quality of an argument when you are arguing with a liar.
I was impressed once again by the maturity, composure, the calmness and confidence of the Rt Hon Prime Minister Raila Odinga during the debate. He once again proved to all and sundry that his time to be the CEO of Kenya is now and come 4th March 2013, he will offer the best for Kenya. He was firm and steady.
I was impressed by the Deputy Prime Minister Uhuru Kenyatta for summoning the courage to come and face the land question. And he did well. Despite disclosing that his family has 30,000 acres of land in Taveta, no one pinned him down with any impropriety on the emotive land question. Maybe his running mate has a case to answer with how he has behaved with land in the past. However, Hon Kenyatta showed some good promise and he is a potential Vision 2030 Presidential Candidate. His time has not yet arrived though. However, he needs to be in the next government, and if I were Raila, I would consider Mr. Kenyatta for a Cabinet Secretarial Post.
The other guys were equally good and in my modest thinking, we must all come out in large numbers on the 4th March 2013, and have this thing cleared with. Thereafter, it would be prudent for Ralia Amolo Odinga to invite all his competitors for a role in Nation Building as we truly start the work of reconciling Kenyans.
The best way would be to have all these guys play a role in the next Government.

Let us all work for a Clean Kenya, a Clean Africa and a Clean General Election as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.

The die is cast; We must make it in Round 1

Dear Friends,
We are on the home stretch and come Monday the 4th March 2013, the 14.3m registered voters in Kenya will be invited to step forward and help make a clear choice. As we do this, we must know that our votes comes with clear consequences and for those who have not yet made up their minds, tonight's Presidential Debate may help.
 Kenyans united in Peace as One Family under God
I was pleased watching our Presidential Candidates uniting in Peace at Uhuru Park yesterday and I have all the confidence that Kenyans are going to vote en masse and vote in Round 1 for a clear winner. As we do this, let us also pause for a moment and think.
Listening to our Presidential Candidates on the campaign trail, and looking at their Party Manifestos, I am tempted to think that Kenyans are being taken for a ride once more. The politicians are lying to us and we are dancing and shouting as they talk. We are not listening to what they are saying.
They are talking about issues they have failed to address even as they held offices that could make them address these issues. The leading contenders have been part of the top 5 political leaders in Kenya and they had an equal opportunity to do what they are saying they will now do for us. What held them back?
Garbage, garbage, garbage and yet, no politician is seeing this.
President Kibaki's partner for the last 5 Years has been Raila Amolo Odinga- the Prime Minister of Kenya. President Kibaki's Principal Assistant has been Steven Kalonzo Musyoka- the Vice President. The Rt Hon Raila Amolo Odinga's Principal Assistants have been Uhuru Kenyatta and Musalia Mudavadi- both Deputy Prime Ministers. They have been part of the out going government and they must share in the successes and failures of the same.
Kenya is dirty, very dirty, with garbage mounds competing for space with roads and every open space in our Towns, and no politician is talking about the opportunities that garbage and waste present for the Country as an Industry that can create massive employment opportunities for a large number of people. Not even the potential capacity of using the raw waste that we have as a source of power generation. Yet, the Presidential Candidates are talking about jobs and unemployment without giving us any details on how they will create the jobs they are talking about and how they want to tackle the menace that has been unemployment.
Just the other day, His Excellency the President was invited to launch the Syokimau Railway Line as a Vision 2030 Deliverable and two months down the line, Kenya Railways have quietly halved the fares to Syokimau and even reduced the rail frequency. And still, there are no people to board the Train. Now, when building this Railway Line, did the mandarins at Vision 2030 and at the Railways have any idea of what the Rail Line was going to serve? Where were the people the Rail Line was being built for?
I bet any simple and logical reasoning would have told you that an effective and economical Rail Service would link Kayole to Nairobi, or, Kangemi to Nairobi. Those are the places with the kind of human traffic that can save the people of Nairobi the man hours we waste on the roads every morning and evening. Syolimau has no human settlement. It is a jungle. And yet, the mandarins at Vision 2030 still went ahead to build a Rail Line to nowhere, and even had the audacity of inviting our President to launch this white elephant. And all the politicians kept quiet. Yet, they want the Presidency!
Again, recently, the President was invited to launch a County Road at a time the main artery of Public Transport in Kenya needs a major facelift. The Mombasa- Busia- Malaba Highway is an International Highway. In fact, it is part of the Great Northern Corridor and it needs to be built to better standards. The section of this road that stretches from Mau Summit via Kericho to Kisumu has been on a permanent mode of construction since 2002. And yet, the mandarins at Vision 2030 only saw it fit to build one County Road to 8 lanes standards and leave the main road that is of immense economic value to Kenya.

A dirty Nairobi even as the the politicians pretend about it

Again, no politician raised a voice. They all clapped as the red tapes were being cut. Now, let me ask, of what economic value to Kenya is Thika Road compared to the Mombasa- Busia- Malaba Highway?
In the recent past, many if not all middle level educational institutions have been upgraded to University Level. What happens to all the huge numbers of students who are unable to meet the cut-off points for University entry? All the Village Polytechnics and Teacher Training Colleges are now some constituent Colleges of some University. This simply means that when you drop out at class 8 or at Form 4, you are done with and you simply become some statistics for our Presidential Candidates. I have not heard any of them give us a clear picture of how they are going to address this situation, yet, we are busy clapping and shouting ourselves horse in the campaign trails.
The cost of fuel and electricity has become a known joke in Kenya. We are the only country in the world where costs of fuel and electricity is changed every month. This has very serious economic implications on the people and on the Industries. People cannot plan and Industries cannot plan. The end result is, people are crying and Industries are either relocating to more stable regions or down sizing on human capital. These are hard realities our Presidential Candidates are giving a wide berth. And they have the audacity to tell us about jobs creation, security and education.
I bet Kenyans are smarter and time has come for us to start holding our leaders to account. The times when we were being taken for granted is gone and I am happy the coming Elections are also going to end political impositions, where voters were saddled with favorite candidates against the will of the people.
The times have changed and the people who handle our Presidential Candidates must wake up from their self imposed Mr. Know-it-all.

Let us all work for a Clean Kenya, a Clean Africa and a Clean General Election as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.
