Welcome to KCDN

This is KCDN, an Environmental Management, Economic Empowerment and Poverty Eradication Civil Society.

We welcome you to our site. Kindly feel free to share with us your thoughts. Ideas that add value will be appreciated. Ideas that want to make us improve our physical environment will be welcome. And more so, ideas that redirect us from the lost cause will be of immense value.

It is us who will improve the lot of our Environment, our Economy and make Kenya a Clean Country, where People join hands to work for our own Economic Emancipation and where Municipal Solid Waste Management is looked at as a resource, not as waste.

We need to set the standards in this region of the World and become the referral point in how a people can join hands and work for their own Economic Liberation, where waste can be used as raw material and become a source of employment for our people.

Our collective actions will surely make a difference. This is why in partnership with our Key Strategic Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department, the National Environment Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, other key Ministries, the Local Authorities in Kenya, the Provincial Administration, A Better World, Akiba Uhaki Foundation and other Partners, we are moving deliberately in sensitizing and mobilizing Kenyans to work towards A Clean Kenya where waste is separated at source.

And this is why we are inviting Kenyans to join with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and be a Member of Kimisho Sacco Society Ltd

Welcome.

A world revolving on Friendship

In the past 26 months of our existence, KCDN Nairobi, courtesy of Friends of KCDN have been able to give educational support to 1950 Orphans and Vulnerable Children. Friends were able to help us buy books, stationery, uniforms and shoes for these children.
It all started when Kenyans voted in 2007 and the election results were interfered with. The resultant mayhem caught the world by surprise. Hitherto, we had been a darling of the West and most people thought that Kenya was an Island of Peace in a turbulent Area. We were so efficient and swift with our response; we killed each other, raped our own and burned our own property.
KCDN responded to this mayhem. Men were at war and our women and children became vulnerable. We saw it all. Some women went as far as exchanging sex for food and the children were left on their own. And we stepped in to help these children, courtesy of your Friendship with us.
We made an appeal to the world for help and support, and the response was immediate and tremendous. We were given provisions that became handy with the Internally Displaced Persons. And that was amazing.
Now that we have rent issues, it looks so damning for us. It is threatening what we have been doing, and we know, we have Friends out there, people of goodwill who can be of support, help and partnership with us. We also appreciate that many organizations have strict partnership procedures, but we have faith in humanity and the good that such friendship can surmount.
It is because of this that we have reached out to you. This is a problem that when we put our mind and efforts together as a team, we can surmount.
We are determined to be of good service to our Children who are Orphans and some who are Vulnerable. And we know that your little support will make a difference for us. We have documented our profile and it is a 13 page document which we want to share with you.
This is a new beginning for us at KCDN, and your Support, Friendship and Partnership will be very valuable to us.
Peace and blessings to all mankind.
