Dear Friends,
Following the publication of the KCDN Supplement on the Monthly Nationwide Clean-up Campaign yesterday in The Standard on Sunday 5th June 2011, we have received inquiries of partnership and support in helping to launch the Clean-up Campaigns across several towns in Kenya.
Time for Consultations in Kisii
We want to encourage similar initiatives to be set in place by all People of Goodwill in partnerships with the Local Councils, the Provincial Administration and the Civil Society all across Kenya. We will always be available to lend our support.
We at KCDN want to sincerely thank all the Friends of KCDN who helped pay for the Supplement. We are indeed very grateful to Phoenix Aviation Ltd, Mr. Brigitte Frey of A Better World, the Municipal Council of Eldoret, Mugumo Communications Ltd and the Green Fingers International. Without you, this could not have happened.
We are also very grateful to Kenyans for the support we have continued to receive from you in running the KCDN Initiatives. The Monthly Nationwide Clean-up Campaign is firmly on track and on the 17th June 2011, we will be in Kisii Town where we will converge at the Municipal Market at 6.30am for a clean-up that will take us to Daraja Mbili.
Mr. Francis Otachi- Deputy Town Clerk Municipal Council of Kiss and our Team
The DC Kisii Central Mr. Soi, His Worship the Mayor Cllr Nyangeso and all the area MPs and Councilors will join members of the public and our volunteers in helping to make some difference on the date.
We were in Kisii for a Consultative meeting with the Stakeholders on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th and besides meeting the area DC Mr. Soi, we also met several partners from the Business Community. We set up a committee that will be Coordinated by Mr. Johnson Juma under the direction of Cllr Joyce Isaac and Cllr Henry Michira. We have all the confidence that the team will do well and surpass our Eldoret Team.
Secondly, the Friends of KNH Maternity Unit has one more Friend; the PLO Lumumba Foundation. We are appealing to all Men and Women of Goodwill to join us every Month as we make a visit to the Kenyatta National Hospital Maternity Unit. You will remember that on the 28th May, in partnership with Barclays Bank Haille Sellasie Avenue Staffers, we visited the mothers and their new born babies at Kenyatta. We will come up with a time frame immediately we finish the on going consultations between KCDN, KNH and Barclays Bank Haille Sellassie Avenue Branch. We want to have 100 Friends who will each give us Kshs 1,000.00 every month for this visit. Please join us and be of good service to fellow Kenyans.
We want to believe that through what we are doing, we are impacting on Kenyans positively as we engage them in discussions that add value to Kenya and our being Kenyans. It is indeed true that at KCDN, we have Moved From Talking to Tasking.
If it is to be, it is up to me. A Clean Kenya Starts With me. A Peaceful Kenya is my Responsibility.
