Welcome to KCDN

This is KCDN, an Environmental Management, Economic Empowerment and Poverty Eradication Civil Society.

We welcome you to our site. Kindly feel free to share with us your thoughts. Ideas that add value will be appreciated. Ideas that want to make us improve our physical environment will be welcome. And more so, ideas that redirect us from the lost cause will be of immense value.

It is us who will improve the lot of our Environment, our Economy and make Kenya a Clean Country, where People join hands to work for our own Economic Emancipation and where Municipal Solid Waste Management is looked at as a resource, not as waste.

We need to set the standards in this region of the World and become the referral point in how a people can join hands and work for their own Economic Liberation, where waste can be used as raw material and become a source of employment for our people.

Our collective actions will surely make a difference. This is why in partnership with our Key Strategic Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department, the National Environment Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, other key Ministries, the Local Authorities in Kenya, the Provincial Administration, A Better World, Akiba Uhaki Foundation and other Partners, we are moving deliberately in sensitizing and mobilizing Kenyans to work towards A Clean Kenya where waste is separated at source.

And this is why we are inviting Kenyans to join with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and be a Member of Kimisho Sacco Society Ltd

Welcome.

Meeting with the Trainees; TCKC

Friends,
All those who have shown interest in joining The Waste Management Training Programme and have filled in The Application Forms, will be meeting with us at our Offices at Hurlingham as from 10am tomorrow.
Tough Brains at Work...Following the Trash
The Training will be officially launched by the Provincial Director of Environment Nairobi Mr. Titus Simiyu on the 19th Nov 2012 at Baba Dogo in the presence of the Area DC, the Government and City Council of Nairobi Officials and some invited guests.
We have been talking about waste for so long, and now, we are happy that in Partnership with EcoPost, we are moving this process forward.
We firmly believe that we must separate waste at source and make that waste be productive.
We also firmly believe that shifting waste from one area to another is NOT waste management. This is why we are inviting all our Friends to step forward and help support this Training Programme that will impart serious life long skills on our waste handlers, waste collectors and waste converters.
Charle and Lorna from EcoPost with Oto and Sungu in a Brainstorming Session at our offices yesterday
This is an initiative that is going to Transform this Country. It will create massive employment opportunities, it will help pay the Family Bills and above all, it is going to keep our Country Clean.
All plans are in place and yesterday, we spent a better time in the afternoon discussing the finer details with the Technical Team from EcoPost who paid us a Courtesy Call in our offices.
This Programme is going to Train the first batch of 505 - Graduands- 25 Trainers and 480 Trainees, whom we will present with Certificates at the end of 2013. This Team will be our agents in the Waste Conversion Revolution that we are creating and come 1st June 2013, I want us to look back and appreciate the small efforts we shall have put in place for Mother Kenya. And ask yourself, what are you doing to help make Kenya Clean?
Let us Move From Talking to Tasking as we Stay with the Issues garbage.
Let us all work for a Clean Kenya and a Clean Africa as a Transformative Deliverable as we turn 50 in Kenya.
