Welcome to KCDN

This is KCDN, an Environmental Management, Economic Empowerment and Poverty Eradication Civil Society.

We welcome you to our site. Kindly feel free to share with us your thoughts. Ideas that add value will be appreciated. Ideas that want to make us improve our physical environment will be welcome. And more so, ideas that redirect us from the lost cause will be of immense value.

It is us who will improve the lot of our Environment, our Economy and make Kenya a Clean Country, where People join hands to work for our own Economic Emancipation and where Municipal Solid Waste Management is looked at as a resource, not as waste.

We need to set the standards in this region of the World and become the referral point in how a people can join hands and work for their own Economic Liberation, where waste can be used as raw material and become a source of employment for our people.

Our collective actions will surely make a difference. This is why in partnership with our Key Strategic Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department, the National Environment Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, other key Ministries, the Local Authorities in Kenya, the Provincial Administration, A Better World, Akiba Uhaki Foundation and other Partners, we are moving deliberately in sensitizing and mobilizing Kenyans to work towards A Clean Kenya where waste is separated at source.

And this is why we are inviting Kenyans to join with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and be a Member of Kimisho Sacco Society Ltd

Welcome.

Voter Registration- Kenyans hitting the mark

Friends,

The Voter Registration is closing today and I was impressed seeing long queues across Nairobi as I was coming into Town.
At the International House Registration Centre in the Central Business District, many enthusiastic Kenyans were on queue even as it was drizzling, signs that the Registration of Voters is receiving the Final Blessings with light showers to grace and crown the exercise.

We at The Clean Kenya Campaign are happy to have played our roll in helping to mobilize as many people across Kenya to Register as Voters, and we are happy with all those who made an issue out of the voter apathy. At least we are hitting the 15 Million Mark by close of business today, or more, if the queues are anything to go by.
We want to salute our gallant journalists and the FM Presenters, the TV Hosts and the Media Owners Association for their relentless efforts in mobilizing Kenyans to come out. It was very inspiring seeing Dr SK Macharia- the Media Mogul behind the Royal Media Services on the Trucks in the Trenches- calling Kenyans to come out and Register.
We must all salute Dr SK Macharia for this effort.

After the close of Registration Exercise, the hard part begins; Voter Education. We at The Clean Kenya Campaign and our Partners will be rolling out a Massive Voter Education on the 5th January 2013 at Mathare in Starehe Constituency. This Forum will invite about 500 Political Leaders and Voters from the larger Starehe Constituency and we will be discussing on issues that unite us as a people, issues that will make us come out in large numbers to vote peacefully for our Leaders and accept whatever results that will come out.
We all want a Clean General Election and we must all work for it.
We must learn that voting in leaders must never make us fight. This is the message we will be sharing out with leaders across Kenya.
This will be our Calender of Events, and we are inviting greater Partnerships to help drive this Kura Kwa Furaha Campaign across Kenya;

1.    5th January 2013; Starehe Constituency,
2.    12th January 2013; Langata Constituency,
3.    16th January 2013; Kasarani Constituency,
4.    19th January 2013; Massive Clean-up cum Voter Education in Mombasa,
5.    26th January 2013; Dagoreti Constituency,
6.    2nd February 2013; Embakasi Constituency,
7.    9th February 2013; Westlands Constituency,
8.    13th February 2013; Makadara Constituency,
9.    16th February 2013; Massive Clean-up and Voter Education in Kisumu,
10.  23rd February 2013; Kamukunji Constituency, and
