It is us who will improve the lot of our Environment, our Economy and make Kenya a Clean Country, where People join hands to work for our own Economic Emancipation and where Municipal Solid Waste Management is looked at as a resource, not as waste.

We need to set the standards in this region of the World and become the referral point in how a people can join hands and work for their own Economic Liberation, where waste can be used as raw material and become a source of employment for our people.

Our collective actions will surely make a difference. This is why in partnership with our Key Strategic Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department, the National Environment Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation,other key Ministries, the Local Authorities in Kenya, the Provincial Administration, A Better World, Akiba Uhaki Foundation and other Partners, we are moving deliberately in sensitizing and mobilizing Kenyans to work towards A Clean Kenya where waste is separated at source.

And this is why we are inviting Kenyans to join with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and be a Member of Kimisho Sacco Society Ltd

Welcome.

CCN Stakeholders Evaluation Team pays a courtesy call on PC Nairobi

The City Council of Nairobi Stakeholders Evaluation Team members today made a courtesy call on the PC Nairobi at 11.00am. The Team of Ms Christiane Anthony, Mr. Kinuthia Wamwangi, Ms Petronila Nafula, Mr. Steven Waweru, Pst Benedict Mutuku and Mr. Rashmin Chitnis were led by Odhiambo T Oketch, the current Chair to the CCNSET.
Odhiambo T Oketch hands over to the Deputy PC Nairobi Ms Mercy Gatobu a report from the Stakeholders Evaluation Team
We were warmly received by the Deputy Provincial Commissioner Ms Mercy Gatobu on behalf of the PC. We were informed that the PC had accompanied His Excellency the President to Nyayo Stadium for the official opening of the Africa Athletic Championship.
Amongst the key issues that we discussed were;
  • Performance of the Provincial Administration on the ground;
  • Service Delivery to the residents of Nairobi;
  • Mushrooming of illicit brews in Nairobi;
  • Bars operation across Nairobi and how they affect the resients;
  • Haphard police operations in Nairobi where the innocent people are arrested while the criminals go free;
  • How residents can help in the fight against corruption;
  • Informal sector where hawkers have become a menace to the cleanliness of Nairobi;
  • Question of the youth and how best they can benefit from Kazi Kwa Vijina;
  • Car Jackings and insecurity on our roads;
  • And the need to involve the residents some more in resolving some of these issues.
We were agreed that more needs to be done to ensure that greater partnership is initiated between the Provincial Administration and the residents in line with the stated Government desire to involve the people in evaluating the performance of state officers on their Performance Contracts.
This was a milestone in our lives and we are determined to take it to the next level. Working as a team, we will ensure that the residents, being the people who consume services that are rendered by the key government institutions, are enabled to make them be key partners in this process.
We want to appeal to all the residents of Nairobi to come forward and be active participants in ensuring that the Government delivers in all her promises.

Let us not only complain. Let us also advice and give solutions, and feel free to reach us with any comments, compliments, complaint, observations or recommendations.
Peace and blessings to the residents of Nairobi and all Friends of Kenya.
