Welcome to KCDN

This is KCDN, an Environmental Management, Economic Empowerment and Poverty Eradication Civil Society.

We welcome you to our site. Kindly feel free to share with us your thoughts. Ideas that add value will be appreciated. Ideas that want to make us improve our physical environment will be welcome. And more so, ideas that redirect us from the lost cause will be of immense value.

It is us who will improve the lot of our Environment, our Economy and make Kenya a Clean Country, where People join hands to work for our own Economic Emancipation and where Municipal Solid Waste Management is looked at as a resource, not as waste.

We need to set the standards in this region of the World and become the referral point in how a people can join hands and work for their own Economic Liberation, where waste can be used as raw material and become a source of employment for our people.

Our collective actions will surely make a difference. This is why in partnership with our Key Strategic Partners- The Public Service Transformation Department, the National Environment Management Authority, the Ministry of Environment and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation,other key Ministries, the Local Authorities in Kenya, the Provincial Administration, A Better World, Akiba Uhaki Foundation and other Partners, we are moving deliberately in sensitizing and mobilizing Kenyans to work towards A Clean Kenya where waste is separated at source.

And this is why we are inviting Kenyans to join with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and be a Member of Kimisho Sacco Society Ltd

Welcome.

Did you know? Kenyans do not care

Friends,
Did you know that Kenyans do not care about democracy, good governance and integrity?
I will be back with that in a moment. First, I want to appreciate A Better World and the Public Service Transformation Department for believing in and supporting The Clean Kenya Campaign. Mobilizing for our events has never been easy, and this is why we have been inviting individuals and groups that believe that a Clean Kenya is possible to join hands with us in The Clean Kenya Campaign and own the process all across Kenya.
Ms Lillian Mahiri-Zaja- Vice Chair IEBC, Mr. Nahum Okwiya- Executive Director- Africa Youth Trust, Major James Oswago- CEO IEBC and Commissioner Kule Galma Godana in a Media Briefing at IEBC on the 13th Dec 2012

Did you know that the National Assembly will have 350 Members in the following manner;
  1. 290 Elected Members from the 290 Constituencies?
  2. 47 Elected Women Representatives from the 47 Counties?
  3. 12 Members nominated by Parliamentary Parties to represent Special Interest Groups- the Youths, Persons with Disabilities and the Workers?
  4. 1 Speaker- elected by Members of Parliament as an ex-officio Member of Parliament?
Now you know.
We launched Kenyans for a Clean General Elections Campaign on the 5th January 2013 at Huruma Estate at the Redeemed Gospel Church, and this Saturday- the 12th January 2013, we are continuing with this Journey of Hope across Kenya in Langata Constituency where about 500 volunteers will be joining with us for a Major Clean-up cum Voter Education Campaign.
We will converge at the Chief's Office at Highrise- just off Mbagathi Road for a Clean up that will be officially flagged off by DO Laini Saba Mr. Hesbon Kayesi, the IEBC Regional Coordinator Ms Bilhah Kiptugen and the Director of Environment at the City Council of Nairobi Ms Leah Oyake at 7.00am. All the Nairobi IEBC Constituency Coordinators and aspiring politicians from Langata and Kibra will be present.
We are concerned about hosting a Peaceful and Clean General Elections as One Family under God and as such, we are inviting all the 14.9 Million Registered Voters to come out on the 4th March 2013 and help elect a credible team to manage our affairs for the next 5 years.
This brings me to the issue of democracy, good governance and integrity and it is sad that Kenyans do not give a damn about these issues, yet, in TV and Radio Talk Shows and in Forums hosted at the Hotels, we are very loud in our demands for democracy, good governance and integrity as guiding principles to leadership.
We have been given another chance to elect people into political office, and what are we doing? We are shoving the spirit of democracy aside by giving direct nominations to some people. We are consorting and supporting people with questionable characters to be our leaders, simply because they are from our tribe and they are giving us money.
I want to invite Kenyans to make very clear choices on what we want as a country. Do we want to grow Kenya to be a model of a Country in Africa, or, do we simply want to pretend that we believe in democracy, good governance and integrity as our guiding principles and a constant source of donor interaction?
As we continue with our Campaign in Langata on Saturday, I want to invite the continued support, partnership and participation of those who believe in Democracy, Good Governance and Integrity as the hallmarks for leadership as we move to the following areas;
5th January 2013; Mathare in Starehe- Hosted
·  12th January 2013; Highrise in Langata

·  16th January 2013; Kasarani

·  19th January 2013; Mombasa
·  26th January 2013; Dagoreti
·  2nd February 2013; Embakasi
·  9th February 2013; Westlands
·  13th February 2013; Makadara
·  16th February 2013; Kisumu
·  23rd February 2013; Kamukunji
·  3rd March 2013; National Prayers for a Clean and Peaceful General Elections at Uhuru Park
You are all invited to be part of this great Transformation and Campaign across Kenya.
Lastly, as I wind up, please Read Chapter One of our Constitution and think over it;
